Sean M. Fitzpatrick, DVM

Dr. Fitzpatricks interest in animals was fostered from a young age by his experiences growing up on a ranch in Sonora. He went on to complete his undergraduate studies at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Science as well as a minor in psycology. Dr. Fitzpatrick then enrolled in the University of California at Davis where he completed his postgraduate courses and received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1998. He has been in general practice ever since, where he has a strong interest in veterinary surgery and dentistry.
In his free time, he enjoys cycling of all kinds, relaxing at home with his dogs, and is an avid motocross enthusiast...
Jeff Johnson , DVM
Northgate Veterinary Hospital
Dr. Jeff Johnson joined the Northgate Veterinary Hospital Staff in the fall of 2006. He began working in the veterinary field as an assistant at the age of 15. He is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, where he received both his undergraduate degree in biological sciences and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr Johnson has a strong background, as well as personal interest in Avian and Exotic pet medicine.
He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, fishing and camping during his time away from the hospital.
Cesar Vega, DVM
Northgate Veterinary Hospital
Dr. Vega joined our team in March of 2008. Originally from Colombia, he graduated from La Salle College with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and practiced there for 2 years before moving to the United States. Dr. Vega worked over the next 8 years at VMS, San Mateo, Bishop Ranch,in Pleasanton, and Oaklahoma State. Dr.Vega enjoys general practice, but has special interest in cardiology, oncology, and internal medicine.
When out of the practice, Dr. Vega enjoys listening to Heavy Metal Music, and is an avid mountain biker.
Amy Lacy, DVM
College Veterinary Hospital
Dr. Amy Lacy, another Modesto native, graduated from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and worked in Texas for several years before joining our team in July of 2004. In 2006, she took a leave of absence to pursue a unique opportunity to work in the veterinary hospital at Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael. She then returned to work at College Veterinary Hospital in March of 2007.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Lacy enjoys running marathons and horseback riding. She shares her home with a multitude of pets.
Longhai Nguyen, DVM
Village Oak and College Veterinary Hospitals
Dr. Nguyen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley and went on to obtain his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2004. Following graduation he continued his studies by completing a year long internship in veterinary surgery and internal medicine in Ventura, CA. After working locally in general practice and emergency, Dr. Nguyen joined our team in the fall of 2007.
He is an avid tennis player and also enjoys running, ballroom dancing, and completeing jigsaw puzzles.
Jamie Lake, D.V.M.
Dr. Lake received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Originally from Northern California, she was happy to get back to the west coast where she completed a one-year small animal internship at the Animal Specialty Group in L.A. Dr. Lake has a special interest in radiology and emergency medicine. Dr. Lake joined our group in 2010.
Outside the hospital, she enjoys hiking, camping, softball and "hanging out" with family and friends. She currently lives with her feline sidekick "Bandit" and is eager to add a canine companion as soon as possible.
Melissa Noakes, D.V.M.
Dr. Melissa Noakes graduated from CSU Sacramento with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, and from U.C. Davis with a DVM degree. Dr. Noakes then completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at University of Pennsylvania and has been practicing small animal veterinary medicine since 1977. Dr. Noakes joined the Village Oak group in 2005 as a relief veterinarian and has been with our group ever since.
Her professional interests/passions include dentistry, safe anesthetic techniques, pain control and patient comfort and a commitment to continued learning so every patient can receive the highest level of care.
In her private time she dabbles in real-estate, remodeling homes and spending time with her family, both human and canine.
