Veterinary Medicine has undergone tremendous progress within
the last 15 years.  Specialized fields are one of the benefits of this
progress.  Dermatology is one such field that has grown from an
increase in knowledge and technology.  A Veterinarian with
advanced training in the structure, function and pathology of the
skin may be able to provide new options for a wide variety of skin
conditions.

Veterinary Specialists take a team approach to their patients'
health care and work with the referring veterinarian to develop
the best treatment plan.  The staff at Village Oak will contact your
referring veterinarian to develop the best treatment plan and to
obtain copies of the patient's history.  In addition, please bring any
medications your pet is taking with you to the appointment.  Initial
consultations last approximately one hour.

A report detailing the specialist's findings and recommended
treatment will be sent to the referring veterinarian within 24
hours.
